Arizona Community Surgeons is proud to welcome our newest surgeon, Dr. Kashaf Sherafgan. She is a board-qualified General Surgeon who completed her medical school in Lahore, Pakistan and then went on to do her internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York. Dr. Sherafgan completed her residency at Tulane University Medical Center, New Orleans. After residency she worked in private practice while continuing to be involved with academics at Tulane Surgery Program. She then moved to her alma mater Mount Sinai's Elmhurst Hospital and was involved with general and trauma surgery, while actively training surgery residents.
Dr. Sherafgan's practice broadly encompasses most facets of general surgery including surgical diseases of the biliary tract, pancreas, foregut, intestinal tract, skin and soft tissue, endocrine system , breast surgery , hernioraphy and abdominal wall reconstruction. She has particular interest in minimally invasive surgery, however she operates comfortably through traditional approaches as well.
