Richard Dale, MD

Dr. Dale was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota arriving in Arizona, at age 10, first in Flagstaff then Phoenix. Dr. Dale graduated from Phoenix College and then attended the University of Arizona leaving after only one year for early acceptance to Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans where he earned his MD. Dr. Dale completed internship and surgical residency in San Francisco then began his practice in Tucson in 1966. One and a half years later he joined the U.S. Army serving for two years following which in 1969 he resumed his Tucson general and vascular surgery practice. He has been certified with the American Board of Surgery since 1972. Dr. Dale has served as the president of the Tucson Surgical Society, Pima County Medical Society and Arizona Medical Association. In 2000, Dr. Dale spent 2 months in Sri Lanka with Doctors without Borders. Also in 2000, Dr. Dale retired from his private practice and has been lending his expertise assisting other surgeons in the community with orthopedic, plastic and general surgery.
