Robert C Kersey, MD

Dr. Robert Kersey is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a sub-specialty board certification in sports medicine. 

Dr. Kersey received his undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from the University of Arizona. He then stayed at the university to obtain his medical degree and orthopedic training. After completing his fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the University of California at San Diego, he returned to Tucson in August, 2000. Since then, he has been a team physician for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Tucson Sidewinders, Tucson Padres and also helped with the Chicago White Sox during baseball spring training. Dr. Kersey has served as an instructor for other orthopedic surgeons on arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery.

From recreational to professional athletes, Dr. Kersey has experience treating all levels of sports injuries. He specializes in arthroscopic and sports medicine surgery of the shoulder, knee and hip, as well as complex ligament reconstructions, meniscus and cartilage restoration procedures of the knee, instability, labral repair, SLAP repair, and rotator cuff repairs of the shoulder. He also performs arthroscopic labral repairs and impingement surgery of the hip, and shoulder replacement surgery.
